Arica Chile is a town of 200,000 persons, known to be one of the driest places in the world. It is also known for olives and their orchards. An earthquake and tsunami destroyed the town in the late 1800s and what we see is what has been rebuilt.
Again, we find a coastal road along the beach south from the town and we will try this route for a while. We’ll look for olive displays and try some at lunch.
